10K Cross Country Run:

This 10k (6.2 mile) run through Anastasia State Park's beach, hammock, and salt marsh takes you through some of St. Johns County's most beautiful terrain. The race begins at the Island Beach Shop and Grill, proceeds with a beach loop, then across pavement, dirt roads, and soil through the east nature trail and hammock loop. Runners will hit the pavement and trail again as they head to the marsh loop. The last leg of the run shoots the runners back down the main park road to the finish line at the Island Beach Shop and Grill. This is a cross country run and participants must be fit to run on soft sand, uneven terrain, mixed pavement types, and hills with sun exposure, heat, and humidity, etc. Due to time restraints, we offer the 10K to runners only. If you would like to walk, please sign up for the 5K. Note: The normal 10K Cross Country course many be changed by the Anastasia State Park Ranger at any time due to weather, ground conditions, or any other reason. This is the decision of the Park Ranger.

5K Beach Run/walk:

This 5K beach Run/walk starts and ends at the Island Beach Grill. This is a low tide beach loop run/walk on hard packed sand beginning at 8:30am at low tide. This is a Pristine, Beautiful Ocean Front location in St. Anastasia State Park.....No Homes, No Buildings........nothing but miles of Beautiful Beach. The 10K and 5K start at the same location, The 5K proceeds along the Ocean Front for 1.3 miles North, then turns back South on the Beach, then over the long boardwalk and along the road to the finish line. Don't miss out on one of the most Beautiful 5K Beach Runs on the Planet !! PLUS.....the Best T-shirt in Running HISTORY ! (so says the designer of the T-Shirt).

5K and 10K Virtual Runs:

We’ve recently added VIRTUAL Runs for the 5K and 10K. Both were very Successful. The Virtual Runs are on the Honor System. You can run on your own schedule. There is no need to prove your date or time. BUT, you DO Receive the entire race packet, including our Fantastic Turtle Shirt, Quality Bag, Turtle Finishers Medal, and More !! Choose to Pick up your packet OR have us ship it to you. If you’d like your packets shipped to you, please choose that option on the Registration page. (click REGISTER NOW red button above.)

"I don't want to RUN... I just want that Turtle Shirt and to support the Foundation! This is for those who don't want to run but want that turtle shirt. You do not pay the fee for the 10k or 5k, but a reduced rate to get the shirt. By doing this race you keep slots open for those who want to run since the races have limited slots available. Sleep in and pick up your shirt on Friday. If you don't even want to pick it up on Friday, for $9 we will mail it to you. Go to the Register Online button on the Registration page for the 0.0K race!
